2017 XT5 vs. 2016 SRX: What’s the Difference?

Over the years, Cadillac has had to reinvent its cars year in and year out to remain a leader in the competitive luxury car class. The automaker has managed to stay near the top in terms of development and the 2017 XT5 is proof of this. Here is everything that you need to know about the 2017 XT5 vs. 2016 SRX.

Aesthetically speaking, the XT5 is very similar to the SRX but Cadillac managed to cut its weight significantly. The chassis in the XT5 is nearly 300 pounds lighter than in the SRX, and the wheelbase is stretched almost two full inches.

In addition to being lighter, Cadillac focused much of its effort in establishing itself as a leader in technology with the 2017 XT5. Drivers will love the 8-inch touch screen with Bose® speakers and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto technology. The XT5 also features a helpful rearview camera.

As for under the hood, Cadillac is only offering the 3.6-liter V6 engine with 310 horsepower across the XT5 lineup. With its V6 engine, the XT5 gets a fairly efficient 26 mpg on the highway.

While the XT5 looks very similar to the 2016 SRX, there are various upgrades that improve the overall driving experience significantly. For more details, feel free to contact us at Sarant Cadillac!
