Things to Do in Long Island in the Fall

The fall season is finally here, and the cool weather makes this the perfect time to head out and have a family adventure you’ll never forget. No matter how busy you are, there’s always something to do in Long Island during the fall season. Here are a few fun things to do in Long Island in the fall as suggested by us at Sarant Cadillac.

  • Long Island Fair – Located at Old Bethpage Ville Restoration, the Long Island Fair has been running since 1842 and is the longest-running country fair in New York. Some of the main attractions include farm animals, fair food, traditional music, and much more.
  • The Ride of the Jack O’ Lanterns – Dozens of local artists are showing off their incredible Jack O’ Lanterns throughout the month of October. Walk through the trail at night and take in the more than 5,000 Jack O’ Lanterns and their assortment of colors.
  • Beach – Summer may be over but the Amityville Beach is still open to the public. Take a swim at this beautiful beach and build a sand castle with the kids. All in all, a day at the beach is a wonderful way to kick off the fall season.
